Steve Richmond (SR): Logistics operators have been under increasing pressure to streamline their operations for a while now. Driven by the eCommerce boom, customer expectations are forever evolving and demand continues to rise for a more connected multichannel experience, faster delivery times and added convenience. Year after year, operators are seeking out new ways to extract efficiency gains from their supply chain processes to meet these demands and remain profitable; and more and more organisations are finding they have squeezed their existing model to capacity.
