Great Bear Distribution has appointed Alastair Isbister as its new chief executive officer. In his new role, Isbister will report directly to Culina Group CEO Thomas van Mourik. Isbister joins the ambient 3PL specialist from DHL at a landmark period in the company's growth, with the opening of the UK's first tri-modal logistics facility - Port Salford - a showpiece 280,000 sq ft facility creating 280 jobs, and the on-going development of a 1,000,000 sq ft logistics complex at Markham Vale, Chesterfield.
