Fred Green's Book Review column has a double review by Bill Gasarch: Q is for Quantum by Terry Rudolph, an introduction to the bizarre world of quantum mechanics that is almost entirely free of mathematics and physics prerequisites; and An Introduction to Ramsey Theory: Fast Functions, Infinity, and Metamathematics by Matthew Katz and Jan Reimann, delving into the connections between Ramsey theory and logic and showing that a natural statement in Ramsey theory is independent of Peano Arithmetic (both reviews by Bill Gasarch). Fred Green also reviews Modern Cryptography and Elliptic Curves, A Beginner's Guide by Thomas R. Shemanske, in introduction to one of the most interesting (and practical) topics in algebra and number theory (review by Fred Green).
