摘要

Drier weather allowed harvesting of mature maize and soyabeans to progress well in the US Midwest and China last week, while rains in northern Brazil improved moisture for early growth.Drier weather has also allowed late planting of wheat to progress in the former Soviet Union, although rains are expected to return to eastern Ukraine over the coming days.Rains increased across the southeastern Plains in the US last week, which helped improve moisture a bit for wheat establishment. However, dryness persists in southwestern areas. A few showers should scatter across central areas over the next few days, but little additional improvement is expected in southwestern areas.Drier weather in the southern and eastern Midwest is favouring wheat planting there, although some showers would be helpful in southwestern areas to improve moisture for germination. Rains there this week should be limited.
