Japan's steel imports declined for the first time in 2017

The latest import trade statistics published by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) signals marginal decline in imports of ordinary steel by the country in August this year. This is the first decline in imports during the year. The imports had recorded increase during every month of 2017 until now.
