Effect of 96hr LC50 (Lethal) and 1/10th of 96hr LC50 (Sub-lethal) concentrations of chlorantraniliprole on tissue biochemical values in the fish Channa Punctatus is described. Four groups of 10 Channa punctatus each, were held in 15LT water tanks andanother 10 were used as untreated controls. Protein, free amino acid lipids and SDS protein in muscle, kidney or liver were determined. Compared with controls, significant declines occurred in soluble and total protein and lipids in all organs at all exposure periods at lethal or sub-lethal doses. Lesser declines occurred in kidney and greater losses in liver at lethal concentrations whereas at sub lethal concentrations reductions were greater in liver compared with kidney or muscle. There was a rapidincrease in free amino acid levels at lethal exposure in muscle and kidney but not in liver whereas at sub lethal levels the same values decreased. SDS page subunit 0.66 MW 87 Dalton (Kda) disappeared at 10 days pesticide exposure and 0.92 MW of 21 and43 daltons at 20 and 30 days.
