Smaller storage schemes solution for Hawke's Bay

Hawke's Bay Winegrowers' vice-president and TANK member Xan Harding says more localised water storage schemes are being mooted as the answer to water woes in the region.Failure to affect a land swap of Department of Conservation land had ultimately led to the demise of the proposed Ruataniwha Dam. The Hawke's Bay Regional Council (HBRC) has begun a multi-million dollar write down of its dam assets.
