MORE ASSETS ARE ON the market currently than have been in the past 10 years, according to the observations of Brian Lidsky, managing director for PLS Inc., with most of those asset packages concentrated in the $25-to $100-million range. Lidsky gave an update on the A&D markets at the Louisiana Energy Conference in New Orleans in late May. However, from a valuation point of view, he said, "What we're seeing in the market today is a little bit of a disconnect. Sellers clearly have identified upside that they believe is economic to drill, and when they sell the asset they want value for that upside.'
