Halifax proves REM sequence in Queensland

Beach Energy has notched up a few more Cooper Basin discoveries, logging the Windmill-1 oil well within South Australia's PEL 92 and the Halifax-1 shale gas well in Queensland's ATP 855P as discoveries. Halifax-1 (Beach 60%, Icon Energy 40%) reached total depth at 4,267 metres appears to have drilled through the thickest REM section encountered to date in the Nappamerri Trough unconventional drilling program, with logs indicating some 460m of formation.
