Modification of Polymyxin B-1 by Water-Soluble Functional Copolymers of Vinyl Alcohol

摘要

The condensation of the peptide antibiotic Polymyxin D'(1) with the vinyl alcohol copolymers containing aldehyde groups was studied. The structure and composition of the resulting conjugates were determined. The polymer derivatives of the antibiotic were shown to preserve their antimicrobial activity.
