This study deal,with BAT(fest available techniques)concerning the residual waters.Intensive industrial researches have been performed and the waters characteristics used as cooling agent in the continous casting process of the steelslats billets have bean established.The researches suggested the measures required to improve the actual technologies according to BAT recommendations.The role of pH variations the conductivity the content of oil in waters and the purging efficiency have been analized.
