IMF upgrades global growth forecast

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has upgraded its global growth projections for 2017 and 2018 by 0.1 per cent to 3.6 per cent and 3.7 per cent respectively. In IMF's latest World Economic Outlook, advanced economies are forecast to grow 2.2 per cent in 2017 and 2 per cent in 2018. The US growth forecast is upgraded to 2.2 per cent for 2017 and 2.3 per cent for 2018.
