TYRE STOCKS DIP DESPITE SURGE ON BOURSES

Miserable April-June 2017 quarter results and the trends on the bourses, particularly in the first half of August 2017, had a serious impact on stocks of tyre companies. During the June 27-September 1, 2017 period, most tyre companies' stocks reported 3-15% fall, while the BSE Sensex managed to have a 3 per cent surge in the period due to a recovery at the end of the period.
