Gujarat exploring chances of NR cultivation

The Government of Gujarat is exploring opportunities for cultivation of natural rubber in the State to increase farm income.This is in the backdrop of a large number of rubber consuming industries coming up in the State.Chief Minister Vijay Rupani says his Government would seek industry support for research and development of the crop that is currently concentrated in South and Northeast India.He urged the consuming companies to associate with the State Forest Department and come up with an integrated project for rubber production in the State.
