Flexible Blow Molded Parts of Silicone Rubber

Silicone rubbers are known for their outstanding physical and chemical properties, such as high flexibility, a wide range of application temperatures and good chemical resistance [1,2]. As a result, they are used in an increasing number of applications in medical technology, electronics and the automotive industry. Up to now, however, applications for complex hollow bodies and media-carrying pipes have been limited, as there is no suitable processing method for manufacturing such components with silicone rubbers [1].
