Factor V Leiden: A Case Study

摘要

Factor V Leiden thrombophilia is a genetic mutation that causes hypercoagulation of the blood and life-threatening symptoms. This article discusses a patient whose condition eventually received a factor V Leiden diagnosis. The patient, a 52-year-old white man of Greek descent, had no known history of thrombophilia and was unaware he had factor V Leiden until he experienced the series of events described in this case study.
