Creating Quality Online Radiologic Technology Programs

Total enrollment in higher education has declined; however, enrollment in distance education in higher learning is rising—as of 2015, more than 30% of higher education students are taking at least 1 distance education course in comparison to 9.6% in 2002. Students seek online courses and programs for various reasons, including flexibility, convenience, accessibility, and academic involvement. Online programs and courses provide greater choice for today's learners and also are essential to increasing institutions' enrollment, revenue, and sustainability in the competitive higher education market. Online radiologic science programs are meeting the needs of radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry students.
