UC Rusal is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Founded in 2000, the company is the result of a merger between Sibirsky Aluminium and Mill-house Capital when they joined their aluminum assets together. The company became an industry leader in 2007, when it merged with SUAL and the alumina assets of Glencore, further expanding its primary aluminum activities. Over the course of two decades, Rusal has seen considerable growth, and is currently listed among the top five largest primary aluminum producers in the world.
