AKA's 36th Annual Koi Show 2017

In April last year, the concourse to the main indoor arena of the Equestrian Centre housed (probably) the most successful show AKA had ever staged. Sharing it with the Sydney Bonsai and Penjing Societies (originally invited by David Durrant) made a huge difference to the look of the show plus the numbers of visitors attracted. The bonsai groups were very happy to return with us this year and post show, reported record sales, although we had the impression the crowd was perhaps not quite as large as last year. Unfortunately, it was not the best weather this time, rather cold and drizzly in the morning, although the weather cleared up in the afternoon. It may however, have put some visitors off, despite us being under cover. I am sure I was not the only one thanking our lucky stars that we were under cover ? it hardly ever stopped raining the three weeks prior to the show, everywhere outside would have been waterlogged!
