Status of shale gas development in China and how it may affect natural gas and LNG requirements

They examined future LNG demand in China as well as the market effects of the development of shale-gas resources. Consumption China's natural gas consumption grew by an average annual rate of 12.7 percent from 2011 to 2015, impacted by low oil price and competition from other alternative energy, the average annual growth rate of gas consumption is only 6 percent in the last two years.
