The only dairy manure-sourced renewable natural gas (RNG) facility in Oregon is now operational after having a soft start in July.

The facility near Boardman is being operated by Threemile Canyon Farms and Equibilbrium. Canadian biofuels firm Iogen provided the $55 million project with a structured RNG offtake agreement. The plant uses the manure from 33,000 dairy cows that is fed into an anaerobic digestion system, followed by a biogas clean-up system that injects RNG into the grid.
