摘要

This study contributes to the characterization of degradation phenomenon in Srou watershed, which stretches within the Atlas mountains (Morocco) and occupies an area of 1443 km2. The study was based on the methodology defined by the Medalus project (Mediterranean Desertification and Land Use), The methodological approach treats the degradation sensibility due to the effect of soil, vegetation and the climatic regime factors. The analysis and the combination of the map factors were obtained with the aid of Geographic Information System (GIS), where the parameters are estimated in order of their importance. The most important value is attributed to highest sensibility parameters. The values of vulnerability attributed to the factors are combined according to Medalus model. The degradation sensibility map elaborated allows a better understanding of the spatial repartition of the degradation problem and a good orientation of the intervention in order of priority.
