US sanctions more frms linked to Iran

The US government has sanctioned another fve compa- nies it says are linked to petrochemical and petroleum purchases from Iran. The US Treasury Department’s sanctions enforcement arm, the Ofce of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), took action against fve UAE-based companies it says collec- tively purchased signifcant volumes of oil products from Iranian state-owned oil company NIOC last year. The frms are Petro Grand FZE, Alphabet International DMCC, Swissol Trade DMCC, Alam Althrwa General Trading and Alwaneo.
