Awilco Drilling reaffirms belief in the shift to new equipment

Northwest Europe’s semi market took centre stage globally once again in March,as another newbuild high-specification(HS),deepwater,harsh-environment(HE)newbuild semi was ordered. Awilco Drilling has dec option with Keppel FELS shipyard,Singapore,for a newbuild HE CS60 ECO MW design semi. The newbui equipped and certified for drilling on the Norwegian Continental Shelf,including in the Barents Sea,in watei to 1,525 m(5,000 ft). It will be similar to the newbuild ordered in March 2018,for which the lower hull is cu under construction at Keppel Nantong in China. The upper hull is being built at Keppel FELS in Singapore.
