摘要

Civil & Building Research Dept. has developed the numerical simulation of windborne salt to expand the applicability of weathering steel to bridges, because its application is restricted to the area where the quantity of the windborne salt is less than the prescribed value. Firstly simulation around the Tsu area was executed and compared with the data measured outdoors. This technology can be useful to evaluate the quantity of windborne salt in the vicinity of the seaside where topographical effects are not negligible. Secondly simulation around the bridge girder section was also executed in order to prevent local rust caused by the locally adhering salt.
