PRIME Program + Pine Bush High School = Opportunities in the Time of COVID-19

Pine Bush High School's SME PRIME program experienced "the highest of highs" a day before the school shut down due to the COVID pandemic. The school used its manufacturing equipment to produce face shields for frontline workers and continues to educate students through PRIME funded Tooling U-SME online coursework. The SME PRIME (Partnership Response in Manufacturing Education) program at New York's Pine Bush High School (PBHS) had just experienced what its principal, Aaron Hopmayer, called "the highest of highs" a day before COVID-19 shut down the school. On that day, 40 manufacturing students received industry credentials that would allow them to get a job pretty much anywhere.
