ANS Published Revised Standard on Time Response Criteria for Manual Actions at Nuclear Power Plants (ANSI/ANS-58.8-2019)

The American Nuclear Society (ANS) Standards Committee has just published ANSI/ANS-58.8-2019, "Time Response Criteria for Manual Actions at Nuclear Power Plants." The standard, approved August 8, 2019, establishes criteria and methods for identifying, calculating, validating, tracking, and documenting time requirements for the performance of nuclear power plant time-limited manual actions that are associated with either design-basis events or licensing basis. The standard was initially issued in 1984 with a revision issued in 1994. The 2019 edition is the third version.
