In this paper, we propose two beamforming methods with inter atom interference (IAI) mitigation approach for uniform circular array (UCA). The optimal weight vectors corresponding to all possible signal incidence azimuths are first constructed by convex optimization and suppression of IAI processing. Then, denoting all the weight vectors as reference weight vectors, we can obtain the desired beamforming by weighting the array received signal using the reference weight vectors respectively. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed beamforming methods can achieve significantly improved robustness with low computation complexity. (C) 2014 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.
