NEWBUILD Rooppur Isolates Workers

Work continues on the Rosatom-supplied VVER-1200 new- builds at Rooppur, Bangladesh’s first nuclear power plant, after a worker who was displaying symptoms of Covid-19 was found not to have the virus. But while Rosatom and the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), the plant owner, are determined to keep the project going, they appear to be focused on isolating workers in special housing from the larger community around them.
