The US government has since 2010 had a written policy in one of its lesser-known export financing agencies that prohib- its assistance to nuclear energy export projects, but the current administration of President Donald Trump appears keen to reverse the de facto “nuclear financing ban,” while breathing new life into the well-known Export-Import Bank. If success- ful - a big “if” - the effort could revive US debt financing for domestic nuclear companies competing for overseas ten- ders and add equity financing to the mix.
