The Role of Canthopexy in Midface Rejuvenation

Although the author believes that canthopexy should, in most cases, accompany transcutaneous blepharo-plasty, he has largely abandoned this approach to primary facial rejuvenation, favoring an endoscopic forehead lift combined with canine fossa access to the midface. With this technique, he states that chemosis is negligible, convalescence is relatively brief, and both the interim and long-term results appear more natural andbalanced.
