MANAGING STANDARDS, INTEROPERABILITY, AND OPENNESS FOR THE FUTURE OF AEROSPACE DATA SYSTEMS. The recording and analysis of test data is of vital importance in the development of new aero engines for both civil and military applications, particularly in the field of dynamics. Increasingly, new engine designs are being developed jointly between the major players and smaller partner companies in an attempt to spread the large costs and/or access specialist capabilities.
