摘要

The problem with catching shrimp versus groundfish comes down to the fact that shrimp don't have sound bladders that can be used to echolocate them like schools of fish. In conventional fish trawl sensors, a signal is sent out to target these bladders. It bounces back to a computer for analysis and display. Even if shrimp had sound bladders, they would be so tiny as to make echosounding impractical, if not nearly impossible.
