Constraints faced by farmers during adoption of mustard production technology and their socio-economic attributes

The study has been conducted to analyses the main reasons for technological gap of Mustard cultivation, in respect of adoption of mustard production technology, among farmers of Abholi Block of Bhadohi district (Uttar Pradesh). The study was conductedregarding the knowledge and experience of farmers about production of mustard crop in respect to adoption of mustard production technologies. The strongest constraint faced by farmers was poor economic condition of the mustard growers followed by High cost of improved seeds, Lack of knowledge about mustard cultivation, Lack of knowledge about high yielding varieties, respectively. These were some of the important reasons of technological gap in adoption of mustard production technology. Some socio-economic attributes resulted that most of farmers were of middle age group and have medium category of annual income.
