MVP Creeps Closer to Finish as Key Permits Restored

Pieces continue to fall into place for Mountain Valley Pipeline(MVP)to open early next year as planned.But as the major gas pipeline project took two steps forward Sep.22,it took one step back as greens doubled down on a legal and regulatory full-court press that has delayed the pipeline's start for more than two years.Equitrans Mdstream-sponsored MVP,now 92% complete,has been at a standstill since the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission(FERC)shut down construction last October after greens were successful in having vital federal permits vacated by the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals.Last week,the US Army Corps of Engineers reissued three of those critical permits.
