FERC Reopens Comment Period for Three US LNG Export Projects

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission(FERC)has reopened the public comment periods for three proposed LNG export terminals after the government shutdown prevented some federal agencies from taking part in the regulatory process.FERC was not affected by the shutdown,but it did close agencies that collaborate with FERC on environmental reviews.FERC is now accepting public comments on Kinder Morgan's brownfield Gulf LNG project in Pascagoula,Mississippi;Exelon's An-nova LNG export terminal in Brownsville,Texas;and Eagle LNG Partner's Eagle LNG project in Jacksonville,Florida.The federal agencies will now take public comments for Gulf LNG and Eagle LNG through Feb.25,and Annova LNG through Mar.13-assuming another government shutdown doesn't come to pass.
