If there is one universal truth it's that things change. Just consider the prospect of LNG import terminals dotting US coasts or the Rockies Express Pipeline flowing all the way to gas-starved Ap-palachia-sure bets if the future had only cooperated. So keep this in mind as debate begins anew on how to ensure grid reliability and resilience and the wisdom of pushing coal and nuclear generation aside, assured that cheap, plentiful natural gas and renewables will remain so well into the future (NGW Dec.25'17).
