Domestic prices for steel scrap in the Taiwanese market have switched the trend for the third time this month. Thus, localsteelmakers are now buying HMS 1&2 (80:20) at an average of $350/t (TWD 11,200/t) delivered, by $6/t (TWD 200/t) higher thanlast week. Domestic steelmakers have decided to revise buying prices for the material since the gap between offers of import andlocal scrap has widened.
