Germany: hopes for growth of longs demand fail

The downward trend observed in almost all European markets, has come toGermany as well. The demand growth anticipated since mid-September hasnever occurred, while the decrease in scrap prices seen in the past month hasresulted in a collapse of finished product prices. Even though German endconsumershave little stocks left, they still prefer to keep out of the market inhope for further decline in raw material and long product quotations, marketparticipants say.
