Italy: flat steel prices continue to advance

Italian producers of flats continue to boost prices. Despite scrap cost reduction(minus EUR 10-15/t over the week) and slack demand, local steelmakers haveannounced a new increase of EUR 40-90/t for the material to be delivered inJune-July, expecting that buyers will have no other choice but to acceptthese levels.
