Exporters of CIS longs try to reverse downward trend

Export prices for CIS-origin square billet are increasing. At the Black Seaports, prices jumped by $25-30/t, and those at the Caspian ports . by $5/t.Only prices at Far Eastern ports of Russia have fallen by $20-25/t. Nevertheless,taking into account the trend reversal in the Black Sea and Caspian Sea, millswill either try to push for more in this market, as well, or re-direct the productsto stronger markets. Seeing the positive signs in the semi-product markets,mills have made attempts to push through an increase in longs prices.
