Nippon Steel Corporation (Japan) to secure African hard coking coal supply

Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel Corporation will buy a 23.3% stake in African coal asset Revuboe from NipponSteel Trading (a 32% share in which is owned by Nippon Steel Corporation). According to preliminary data, thecontract will be concluded in December 2010. The other shareholders in Revuboe are South Korea’s POSCO (7.8%)and Australia’s Talbot Group (58.9%).
