ThyssenKrupp AG (Germany) to launch pickling unit at ThyssenKrupp Home Alabama(USA) in fall 2011

Germany’s ThyssenKrupp AG is planning to launch a pickling line (125,000 tpy) at its US plant ThyssenKrupp HomeAlabama in the fall 2011.Installation and adjustment of some equipment is still under way at the plant. The plant will be equipped with anelectric steelmaking complex for stainless steel production (1 mtpy), a hot-rolling mill (5.4 mtpy), cold-rolling mill No.1for carbon steel products (2.5 mtpy), cold-rolling mill No.2 for stainless steel products (350,000 tpy), and a picklingline, after all works are complete.
