Report from the Washington Farm Forestry Annual Meeting

On May 3rd and 4th we convened at Silverdale Washington on the 20th Anniversary of the Forests and Fish law to examine its past, present and future impacts on small forest landowners. Welcoming remarks from Senator Christine Rolfes of the 23rd legislative district, and Rob Purser Jr from the Suquamish Tribe talked about the importance of salmon to PNW cultural heritage and referenced our location as the home and burial place of Chief Seattle who famously referred to the interconnectivity of all life. That theme was to flow throughout our day.
