In Situ Barbecue-Like Fabrication of Porous Ag/Fe2O3 Sensors

摘要

The traditional brush-coating technique used in sensor preparation often limits the development of advanced gas sensors. In this study, in-situ barbecue-like fabrication method was developed and tested for the preparation of Ag/Fe2O3 sensors. The as-prepared sensors showed a low detection limit of 0.1 ppm and a high sensitivity of 21.13 towards 10 ppm H2S at 200 degrees C. These criteria were far superior to those of sensors prepared through brush-coating. The high performance of the as-prepared sensors could be ascribed to the Ag doping and the presence of abundant sensitive materials with excellent gas accessibility and high surface area of the sensing elements. Thus, the proposed novel in-situ fabrication method looks very a promising route for construction of future sensors and electronic components.
