Washington, DC: A Different Environment

This year, Director of Communications Lori Harrison and I attended our first United Fresh Produce Washington Conference. Hundreds of attendees showed up to hear more than 40 speakers—from Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue to McDonald's Corporation's John Monsif—share insights on the importance of produce commodities getting their issues and industry needs in front of legislators and in alignment with their fellow produce groups.
