摘要

The article studied activation energy obtained by the weight change of the sample at constant temperature and by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The sample was EP11 (15R, Japan) crosslinked by dicumyl peroxide without addition of any filler. The activation energy of the oxidation induction time (OIT) measured at constant temperature from 90 omicron C to 150 omicron C was 110 kJ/mol. The activation energy was calculated by the arbitrarily chosen weight retention rate on TG curves as usually applied. The activation energy obtained was 86.8 kJ/mol. The article found out that there was the point at which weight started to increase on TG curves. The point might correspond to OIT the constant temperature method, The activation energy obtained by using the point was 96.1 kJ/mol.
