My recollection was that most of these trucks were not elaborately decorated and largely served as good working machines. This determined my plan to keep it in a similar, 'working truck' style, but that decision took me on an unexpected journey down memory lane. My late uncle and his business panner operated the Vacuum Oil Company, Mobil Australia Ltd. depot at Camperdown in Victoria for many years. Their delivery vehicle was a rigid Ford F6()0 tray bodied truck. During their tenure of the depot they weren't equipped to undertake what we now readily accept as 'normal'-bulk fuel deliveries by road tanker.
