Emerson has been selected to modernise PLC-based controls for power and water plants and remote sites operated by the City of Fremont Department of Utilities. One of the oldest municipal utilities in Nebraska, USA, the organisation operates and manages coal and natural gas power generation and transmission and distribution systems, as well as water/wastewater collection, treatment and distribution, that serves customers in a 60-square-mile area.
