Multiferroic NiFe2O4/0.8BaTiO(3)-0.2Na(0.5)Bi(0.5)TiO(3) bilayer thin film epitaxially grown on (001)-SrRuO3/SrTiO3 substrate was prepared by pulsed laser deposition. Excellent ferroelectric, magnetoelectric properties and a higher Curie temperature were observed in the NiFe2O4/0.8BaTiO(3)-0.2Na(0.5)Bi(0.5)TiO(3) composite thin film compared with the NiFe2O4/BaTiO3 composite thin film. In particular, the remnant and saturated polarizations of NiFe2O4/0.8BaTiO(3)-0.2Na(0.5)Bi(0.5)TiO(3) are 35.2 mu C/cm(2) and 96.1 mu C/cm(2), respectively, and the maximum magnetoelectric coefficient can reach up to 96 mV.cm(-1).Oe(-1), which are larger than those of the NiFe2O4/BaTiO3 composite thin film (18.8, 44.5 mu C/cm(2), and 60 mV.cm(-1).Oe(-1)).
